Gianluca Prestianni ranked top under-21 player outside Europe's Big Five leagues

Benfica winger Gianluca Prestianni has been ranked as the top under-21 player playing outside of Europe’s ‘Big Five’ leagues by the CIES Football Observatory. The 20-year-old Argentine achieved a score of 86.5 out of 100 in the annual assessment, following a strong start to the 2026/27 season where he recorded eight goals and multiple assists.

Due to his rising profile, Prestianni has received a call-up to the Argentina national team for upcoming friendlies. His performances have also drawn interest from major European clubs. Tottenham Hotspur reportedly sent scouts to watch the player during a recent derby match, and he is also being monitored by clubs including Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid.
