Gianluca Rocchi joins DAZN as pundit for Serie A season

Gianluca Rocchi, the former referee designator and head of the VAR committee for Serie A and Serie B, is joining DAZN as a technical pundit for the 2026-27 season. He will be a regular contributor to ‘Fuoriclasse’, a Sunday night show hosted by Diletta Leotta.

Rocchi’s new role follows the dismissal of a sports investigation by the Milan Prosecutor's Office and the FIGC Federal Prosecutor, which had looked into alleged irregularities in referee assignments. The proceedings were archived due to a lack of evidence of interference in championship results.

His television debut is scheduled for October 11 during the post-match coverage of the Cagliari-Juventus fixture. He will join a studio panel including Andrea Stramaccioni, Valon Behrami, and Andrea Marinozzi. Rocchi, who officiated 529 matches during his career, intends to provide technical analysis of gameplay and refereeing decisions.
