Walmart recalls bettergoods frozen pasta over Listeria risk
Gias Foods, Inc. has issued a nationwide recall for two lots of bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine sold at Walmart stores due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recall was prompted by routine sampling conducted by agricultural authorities in Washington and Florida.
The affected products are 22-ounce frozen meals in yellow plastic packaging with UPC 194346442706. The specific lot numbers are L6079C and L6080C, with expiration dates of September 19, 2027, and September 20, 2027, respectively.
While no illnesses have been reported, health officials warn that listeriosis can cause serious infections, particularly in pregnant women, young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Consumers are advised to check their freezers and return the affected products to Walmart for a full refund.
