GIIAS Makassar 2026 to showcase automotive innovation in Eastern Indonesia

The GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) The Series 2026 is scheduled to arrive in Makassar, South Sulawesi, from October 28 to November 1, 2026. The event will be held at the Summarecon Mutiara Makassar Convention Center.

According to GAIKINDO General Secretary Kukuh Kumara, South Sulawesi serves as a strategic economic hub and an automotive gateway for Eastern Indonesia. As of July 2026, the region ranked seventh in national sales contributions, accounting for 20,061 units, or approximately 4% of the total national market.

The exhibition will feature 14 passenger vehicle brands, including BAIC, BYD, Chery, Geely, Honda, Jetour, KIA, Mazda, Mitsubishi Motors, Omoda Jaecoo, Suzuki, Toyota, VinFast, and Wuling. Additionally, 20 supporting industry brands will participate, and a 1.5 km test drive area will be available for attendees.
