Mallorca robbery: two arrested after German couple robbed of €200,000 in luxury watches
On Friday night in the resort town of Palmanova on Mallorca, a German couple was violently attacked as they were about to leave a restaurant. The assailants struck from behind, forcing the victims to the ground and stealing valuables, including two luxury watches worth more than €200,000.
Police (Guardia Civil) have apprehended two suspects, aged 28 and 39, who were using false identities and were about to leave the island. They have been charged with violent robbery, document fraud and alleged membership in a criminal group, and are being held in pre‑trial detention without bail. The investigation remains open, with authorities still searching for the stolen items. The victims’ exact German origin has not been disclosed.
