Gines to host XI National Ham Cutting Competition
The XI National Ham Cutting Competition will be held on Sunday, October 4, as part of the Una Pará en Gines 2026 festivities in Gines, Spain. The event aims to highlight the skill required to cut ham while maximizing the use of every part.
Professional cutters, selected and invited by the organizers, will be judged on skill, style, creativity, and knowledge of ham culture. Participants must present three dishes using different sections of the ham: maza, babilla, and punta. An expert jury will award the top three finishers the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Carts, respectively. Additional trophies will be presented for best plating, cutting precision, and the most creative free dish.
