Overview

Spain is hosting various gastronomic events focused on the promotion and celebration of Iberian ham.

In late August, Estepona held the XI Certamen Mundial de Jamón ‘Popi’, featuring 65 exhibitors. Concurrently, the municipality of Jabugo prepared for the second edition of Jamón Fest, an event designed to integrate gastronomy with music and tourism in the Sierra de Huelva region.

Following these celebrations, the town of Gines scheduled the XI National Ham Cutting Competition for October 4. This competition, part of the Una Pará en Gines 2026 festivities, tasks professional cutters with demonstrating skill, style, and creativity by preparing dishes from different sections of the ham, including the maza, babilla, and punta.
