Giorgos Bartzokas named Coach of the Year in Greek Basket League

Greek basketball coach Giorgos Bartzokas was voted Coach of the Year for the 2025‑26 Stoiximan GBL season. He received 39% of the fan vote and 56.10% of the media representatives' vote, beating rivals Pantelis Boutskos and Vasilis Xanthopoulos.

The award recognises his fifth career “Coach of the Year” honour after guiding Olympiacos to the Super Cup, a consecutive Greek league title and a strong EuroLeague campaign. Bartzokas said the distinction “honours me especially because it comes after a season in which we constantly had to prove our value,” adding that success is “the result of consistency, daily work and high demands.”
