Giro d'Italia per la Pace brings Assisi Lamp to Ancona and Treviso

The Giro d'Italia per la Pace, an initiative promoting dialogue, fraternity, and human rights, continues its journey across Italy with the Lamp of Peace from Assisi. The event is organized by the PerugiAssisi Foundation for the Culture of Peace, the National Coordination of Local Authorities for Peace and Human Rights, and the National Network of Peace Schools.

In Ancona, the lamp is scheduled to arrive by sea at Banchina San Francesco on September 21. The event, titled ‘Francesco e il mare dell’incontro’, aims to engage schools, institutions, and the local community to foster peace and dialogue as the city prepares to become the Italian Capital of Culture in 2028.

In the municipalities of Zero Branco and Quinto di Treviso, the initiative includes school-focused activities. In Zero Branco, the program ‘Cuciamo la pace’ involves local primary and secondary students in reflection and participation exercises to promote civic responsibility and collaboration at the start of the new school year.
