The program ‘Cuciamo la pace’ engages primary and secondary students in reflection and participation exercises to promote civic responsibility and collaboration at the start of the school year.

As the tour progresses, the lamp has reached several cities. In Ancona, the ceremony ‘Francesco e il mare dell’incontro’ took place at Banchina San Francesco. During the event, Mayor Daniele Silvetti advocated for authentic integration in schools, emphasizing social harmony. In Modena, Mayor Massimo Mezzetti welcomed the lamp alongside students, citing Nelson Mandela’s reconciliation efforts as a model for non-violence. In Reggio Emilia, Mayor Marco Massari lit the lamp in a ceremony with students and educators, followed by a peace march to the Giardino dei Giusti.
