Giulianova and Catanzaro host public cardiovascular prevention events
The Italian Red Cross organized two‑day public health fairs in Giulianova, Abruzzo, as part of the national "Itinerari della Salute" campaign. The events, held on the seafront near the Kursaal, offered free screenings, information on healthy lifestyles and advice on early detection of heart disease, targeting residents and tourists alike.
In Catanzaro, Calabria, the cultural association Scienze Sociali in Scena presented the second stop of the "Salute in Circolo – Prevenzione Vascolare On The Road" series. Professors Raffaele Serra and Davide Costa discussed vascular sociology, emphasizing community involvement in preventing vascular diseases. Both initiatives aim to raise awareness of cardiovascular risk factors and promote preventive habits across local populations.
The two events illustrate a broader effort in Italy to bring preventive health education directly to communities, combining medical expertise with social outreach to encourage early diagnosis and healthier daily practices.
