In Giulianova, the municipal administration is completing the renovation of public and sports spaces at the V. Bindi school and the multi‑purpose platform on Via Mattarella. The works aim to remove hazards, improve accessibility and add a versatile field for basketball, skating, volleyball and football, with the mayor emphasizing the projects’ role in making the city more inclusive.

In Cervia, a disabled traveller’s experience highlighted shortcomings in the town’s public transport for wheelchair users. The lack of clearly marked accessible bus stops and inconsistent driver instructions forced the traveller to navigate obstacles on foot, prompting local politicians to demand a comprehensive mapping of accessible stops, standardized procedures, and a permanent liaison with disability groups.

Both municipalities are confronting challenges in providing inclusive infrastructure and services for residents and visitors with disabilities.
