In mid‑July, Mantova formalised a cooperation protocol with Anmic Mantova, outlining a permanent disability assistance desk, an observatory on disability issues, training for Disability Managers and the possible creation of a Disability Rights Ombudsman. A week later, Crema’s mayor discussed the Gronda Nord infrastructure plan, a new roundabout and road links slated for 2027, intended to improve overall mobility and competitiveness while supporting inclusive transport.

Later in July, Mantova and Crema reaffirmed their commitments: Mantova’s officials reviewed the protocol’s implementation steps, while Crema confirmed that construction on the Gronda Nord roundabout would begin in early 2027 with regional funding secured. Separate initiatives emerged in L’Aquila, where a video by disability‑rights coordinator Massimo Prosperococco exposed unsafe pedestrian routes, deteriorated surfaces and a hazardous city‑centre roundabout that still impede wheelchair users. In Agrigento, Mayor Michele Sodano and municipal social‑services officials met CGIL representatives to earmark €19,000 for shoreline walkways and sea‑wheelchairs, planning summer deployment despite provisional‑budget delays.
