Giza Governor Ahmed Al‑Ansari ramps up clean‑up and complaint response efforts

Governor Ahmed Al‑Ansari of Egypt’s Giza governorate announced intensified actions to address citizen complaints posted on social media and to curb environmental violations. Municipal teams have cleared illegal structures, removed obstructive cafés, pruned trees, and collected waste across neighborhoods such as South Giza, Al‑Haram, and Al‑Murid. Environmental squads, in coordination with the General Authority for Cleanliness and Beautification, are conducting field campaigns to locate sources of air pollution, inspect industrial sites, and stop open‑burning of waste, with legal follow‑up against offenders.

A new 200 mm drinking‑water main was installed on Salahta Biomi Street in the Al‑Ishreen area to reduce recurring water‑supply interruptions.
