Giza Governor launches raids on illegal food plant and removes unlawful land structures

Governor Dr. Ahmed Al‑Ansari of Egypt’s Giza Governorate reported a series of enforcement actions targeting public health and land‑use violations. Inspectors seized an unlicensed facility in the Kurdassa area that was re‑processing chicken waste into food products, confiscating about 30 tons of material deemed unsafe for human consumption. A concurrent operation seized a truck loaded with 28,224 unidentified energy‑drink cans and a plant that was filling propane cylinders with under‑weight contents, leading to legal proceedings against the offenders.

In a separate campaign, Giza authorities dismantled numerous illegal constructions encroaching on agricultural land across the districts of Abu Al‑Nimr, Atfih, Al‑Ayat and Badrashin. Structures ranging from unauthorized residential walls to entire buildings covering several hundred square metres were removed, and the sites were handed over to the public prosecutor for further action. The governor emphasized ongoing coordination among local agencies to promptly address any new spatial violations.
