Gülcan Kış demands action on Tarsus road safety issues

CHP Mersin Deputy Gülcan Kış has submitted a written parliamentary inquiry regarding the long-standing transportation and safety issues on the Alifakı–Tuzla road in the Tarsus district of Mersin.

The route, which provides access to the Prison Execution Institutions Campus, is characterized by narrow lanes, sharp curves, and poor visibility. Kış highlighted that the road is used not only by prison vehicles and personnel but also by local residents, farmers, and agricultural workers transporting produce.

Citing numerous past injuries caused by traffic accidents, Kış requested that the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, provide a concrete project plan, budget, and timeline for the improvement of the road.
