Turkey's Göle Festival Planning and Eskikadın Village Theater Showcase Community Unity

Leaders of the Istanbul and Ankara Göle associations met at a breakfast hosted by the Toptaş Village Association to coordinate the upcoming Göle Festival. Federation President Eren Küpeli emphasized cooperation among village and city chapters, aiming to promote the district’s cultural heritage and strengthen local solidarity.

In the village of Eskikadın, residents staged a four‑act play titled “Bayrağımın Gölgesinde” to honor martyr Hakan Girgin. The production, organized by retired teacher Hüseyin Arı, involved only villagers as actors and was performed on a makeshift stage built on a tractor in the village square. The performance highlighted themes of national unity, sacrifice, and remembrance, drawing emotional responses from the community and the martyr’s sister.
