Göle Festival cultural event in Turkey

In early July, leaders of the Istanbul and Ankara Göle associations met with the Toptaş Village Association to coordinate the upcoming Göle Festival. Federation President Eren Küpeli stressed cooperation between village and city chapters to showcase the district’s cultural heritage and bolster local solidarity. At the same time, residents of Eskikadın staged a four‑act play honoring martyr Hakan Girgin, highlighting themes of national unity and sacrifice.

By the end of the month, the Göle municipality held the festival, drawing thousands of visitors from across Turkey and the diaspora. The program featured actor Oktay Kaynarca, folk singer Ender Bakır, broadcaster Doğan Şentürk and other performers, offering traditional Turkish songs and live music. Security personnel briefly intervened during a crowd disturbance, ensuring safety. Organizers declared the event a success and promised future editions.
