Global health initiatives focus on prevention and emergency training
Various health and safety initiatives are being implemented across Latin America and Europe, focusing on preventive care, medical training, and emergency preparedness.
In the Dominican Republic, ARS Reservas launched its second annual health fair to promote wellness and prevention through medical services and digital transformation. Simultaneously, the Dominican Society of Family and Community Medicine (SODOMEFyC) held an international congress in Punta Cana to advocate for more effective primary care. Additionally, the Dominican Association of Reproductive Medicine (ADOMERE) conducted scientific training on estradiol in reproductive medicine.
Emergency response training is also expanding. In Argentina, municipalities are providing CPR and first aid training to students and municipal staff. In Mexico, Querétaro celebrated the tenth anniversary of its prehospital care program, while Saltillo conducted 329 civil protection drills involving 30,000 participants. In Spain, Santa Cruz de Tenerife trained 200 athletes in CPR, and A Coruña set a regional record for mass CPR participation involving 371 students organized by the Red Cross.
In Mexico, the Plan de Ayala elementary school participated in a national civil protection drill to strengthen earthquake evacuation protocols.
