Global motorcycle market updates: Honda, ZXMoto, and Colombian crossover competition
The motorcycle industry is seeing significant movement across various segments and regions. In India, Honda has introduced the Rebel 300, a liquid-cooled 286 cc single-cylinder motorcycle producing approximately 30 hp. It is available in standard and E-Clutch versions, designed for both urban use and daily commuting.
In the mid-to-high displacement trail segment, the Chinese brand ZXMoto has unveiled the 820X. This model features an 818 cc triple-cylinder engine delivering 117 CV and high-end technology, including adaptive cruise control, electronic suspension, and front and rear cameras. It serves as a competitor to established models like the Yamaha Tracer 9 and Honda Africa Twin.
In Colombia, the 175 cc to 200 cc crossover segment is experiencing intense competition. Key contenders include the AKT VOGE XRS 180, noted for its futuristic design and electronic windscreen adjustment, and the Auteco Victory BET ADV 180, which offers inverted front suspension and tubeless spoke wheels. Other notable participants in this market include the UM Rockville 200 and the SYM ADXTG 175.
