Expanding its technical ambitions, CEO Zhang Xue has announced the development of a high-performance superbike featuring an unconventional V5 engine configuration. This project, targeting a 2028 racing debut, involves a displacement of approximately 1,000 cc. Developed in collaboration with the University of Science and Technology of China, the engine will utilize aerospace-grade forged components and features a design with three cylinders tilted forward and two tilted backward. At the CIMA 2026 exhibition, ZXMoto further diversified its engine lineup by unveiling a prototype of a new 1,000 cc twin-cylinder boxer engine designed for large adventure-style motorcycles. The architecture features horizontally opposed cylinders, a longitudinal crankshaft, and a shaft final drive. While specific technical data remains unofficial, the engine is expected to produce over 100 hp.
