Global rubber prices face downward pressure on major exchanges
Global rubber prices experienced a general decline across major trading hubs. On the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), natural rubber prices fell between 2.84% and 3.16% for various delivery contracts. Similarly, the Singapore Exchange (SGX) saw TSR20 contracts drop by approximately 2.89% to 3.11%.
In Japan, the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) showed mixed results; while the October RSS3 contract rose slightly, November and December contracts decreased by roughly 1.07% to 1.09%. In Malaysia, standard SMR 20 prices fell, while Thailand's RSS3 export prices remained stable.
In Vietnam, domestic rubber purchase prices at major enterprises, including Ba Ria Rubber and Binh Long, remained unchanged compared to previous sessions. Market analysts suggest that future price trends will be influenced by seasonal supply outlooks in Southeast Asia, Chinese demand, and global oil price fluctuations.
