Global rubber prices show mixed trends amid market adjustments

Global rubber markets are experiencing mixed trends and downward pressure following a period of strong increases in early October. On the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), RSS3 prices have shown mixed movement, with November and December contracts seeing slight increases of approximately 0.90% and 1.14% respectively.

In contrast, prices on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) and the Singapore Exchange (SGX) have trended downward. SHFE natural rubber contracts saw declines of around 1% to 1.26%, while SGX TSR20 contracts also recorded decreases. In Thailand, export prices for RSS3 also experienced a marginal decline.

In Vietnam, domestic rubber prices have remained stable across major enterprises, including Phu Rieng, Mang Yang, Binh Long, and Ba Ria Rubber companies. Market analysts suggest that while supply in Southeast Asia may be affected by adverse weather, short-term prices will likely remain volatile due to uncertain supply-demand balances, Chinese inventory levels, and tire manufacturing demand.
