GlobalM and Lamhas partner to expand IP broadcast infrastructure in India

GlobalM and Lamhas Satellite Services have entered into an agreement to expand managed IP broadcast infrastructure in India. The partnership involves deploying GlobalM’s GMX software-defined media technology within new data centre facilities in New Delhi and Mumbai.

The deployment will create locally hosted media nodes to support various managed broadcast services, including live news contribution, sports coverage, and permanent broadcast operations. This infrastructure allows Lamhas to operate media technology directly from within India, providing scalable IP media transport, routing, and processing.

The GMX platform enables services to be provisioned and managed through a common operational environment that includes media routing, distribution, processing, monitoring, and automation. The architecture is designed to support both permanent services and dynamically provisioned capacity for live events. Additionally, the GMX1 technology can operate alongside GMX Cloud, allowing for the combination of local infrastructure with public cloud resources and wider distributed networks for increased international reach.
