Globo and Endemol Shine Brasil partner for non-scripted IP

Brazilian media company Globo and Endemol Shine Brasil have entered into a strategic partnership to develop and produce non-scripted intellectual property (IP) designed for both local relevance and global appeal. This agreement builds upon a long-standing collaboration that has previously produced successful formats such as ‘Big Brother Brasil’, ‘No Limite’ (Survivor), ‘The Masked Singer’, ‘Dança dos Famosos’, and ‘The Wall’.

Under the terms of the pact, Globo holds priority exploitation rights for the newly developed formats across its own channels and streaming platforms. Endemol Shine Brasil will manage international expansion, utilizing the global distribution network of its parent company, Banijay Entertainment, which operates across 25 territories.

Nani Freitas, CEO of Endemol Shine Brasil, noted that joining forces during the initial development process allows for the creation of culture-defining entertainment with international potential. Amauri Soares, Executive Director of Globo Studios, stated the collaboration aims to transform Globo’s studios into a hub for developing Brazilian intellectual properties with global reach.
