GMO Cybersecurity expands into LEO satellite security and national intelligence

GMO Cybersecurity by YEAH is expanding its security capabilities through new strategic initiatives in satellite technology and national intelligence.

The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Taiwan’s National Taipei University of Technology and the Telecom Technology Center (TTC) to address cybersecurity for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. This partnership aims to analyze cyber threats to satellite systems, establish security standards, and develop specialized personnel through joint research and workshops.

Additionally, GMO National Security, a subsidiary of GMO Cybersecurity by YEAH, is strengthening its cyber intelligence functions to address national and economic security risks. The company has established a new Intelligence Division led by former Nikkei journalist Atsushi Teraoka. This division will combine technical analysis by white-hat hackers with Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) to provide geopolitical and threat analysis for government agencies and critical infrastructure operators.
