GMO Cybersecurity expansion in satellite and intelligence

Overview

GMO Cybersecurity is expanding its strategic capabilities in satellite security and national intelligence. The company has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Taiwan’s National Taipei University of Technology and the Telecom Technology Center to address cybersecurity for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, focusing on threat analysis and security standards.

Simultaneously, the subsidiary GMO National Security has established a new Intelligence Division led by former Nikkei journalist Atsushi Teraoka. This division is designed to address national and economic security risks by combining technical analysis from white-hat hackers with Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) to provide geopolitical and threat analysis for government agencies and critical infrastructure operators.
