Goa Tourism Secures Fast-Track Immigration Approval, Promotes Year-Round Offerings

Goa’s Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte announced that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has approved the activation of the Fast Track ImmigrationTrusted Traveller Programme (FTI‑TTP) at Goa’s airports. The programme will allow registered passengers to clear immigration through biometric e‑gates in under 30 seconds, reducing queues and improving the travel experience for Indian travellers, the Goan diaspora, seafarers, students and professionals. The rollout is expected to enhance Goa’s competitiveness as an international tourism gateway and support the state’s broader tourism growth strategy.

In parallel, Goa will showcase its diversified, year‑round tourism portfolio at the Travel and Tourism Fair in Gujarat, held at the Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar from August 6‑8. Minister Khaunte will lead a delegation promoting six strategic segments – destination weddings, MICE, spiritual tourism, wellness, culinary and adventure experiences – including the newly launched Ekadasha Teertha Yatra spiritual circuit. The fair aims to strengthen partnerships with travel trade partners, airlines, hospitality stakeholders and media, positioning Goa as a multi‑season destination beyond its beaches.
