Goa tourism promotion and fast‑track immigration

In early July 2026 Goa’s tourism authorities announced plans to present the state’s year‑round tourism portfolio at the Kolkata Travel Fair, signalling an effort to market Goa beyond its traditional beach season. By early August, the initiative expanded: the Union Home Minister approved the Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme for Goa’s airports, allowing registered passengers to clear immigration through biometric e‑gates in under 30 seconds. The same period saw Goa’s tourism minister lead a delegation to the Travel and Tourism Fair in Gujarat, promoting six strategic segments—destination weddings, MICE, spiritual tourism, wellness, culinary and adventure experiences—along with the newly launched Ekadasha Teertha Yatra spiritual circuit. Together, the fast‑track immigration rollout and the multi‑season fair participation aim to boost Goa’s competitiveness as an international tourism gateway and support sustained growth.
