Godflesh releases tenth studio album ‘Decay’

Industrial metal band Godflesh has released their tenth studio album, titled ‘Decay’, via Relapse Records. The six-track record includes the closing track ‘Consume Me’.

According to frontman Justin Broadrick, the songs on ‘Decay’ originated from the same recording sessions as the band’s 2023 album, ‘Purge’. Broadrick noted that he selected the tracks that did not fit the previous release to form this new album.

‘Decay’ is described as the band’s penultimate album. Broadrick indicated that continuing Godflesh has become physically unsustainable due to health issues, including a recent major abdominal surgery. He expressed a desire to move toward new creative ground following the conclusion of the band’s active tenure. The current lineup consists of Broadrick and bassist Ben Green.
