Godwin Attram appointed Black Stars assistant coach

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed former international midfielder Godwin Attram as the new assistant coach of the Black Stars. This appointment is part of a technical restructuring aimed at preparing the senior national team for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Attram replaces Desmond Ofei, who will now focus exclusively on his role as the head coach of the Black Meteors, Ghana’s U23 national team. Attram, a former playmaker for PSV Eindhoven and Silkeborg IF, previously served as the head coach of Great Olympics and has experience within Ghana’s national youth setups.

The Black Stars are scheduled to begin their qualifying campaign with an away match against Côte d’Ivoire on 24 September, followed by a home game against The Gambia on 27 September.
