Toho has released a new trailer for ‘Godzilla-0.0’, the sequel to the Academy Award-winning ‘Godzilla Minus One’. Directed by Takashi Yamazaki, the film is set two years after the previous events and features the return of lead actors Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe.

New cast members have been announced, most notably Masami Nagasawa, who will play Makoto Aoyama, a genius weather forecaster. Other confirmed cast members include Jun Kunimura and Hayato Okuno. The trailer has sparked significant fan speculation regarding the possible appearance of King Ghidorah due to a high-pitched roar heard at the end of the footage.

In conjunction with the film's promotion, Toho has launched the ‘New Kaiju General Election,’ a project where fans can vote for one of eight new monster designs created by Shirogumi to appear in future Godzilla-related media. Additionally, unique promotional items, including a massive 3.6-meter wide ‘theater-scale’ movie ticket, have been announced for sale. The film is scheduled for release on November 3, 2026, and is being produced as the first Japanese film ‘Filmed For IMAX’.
