Jardim Los Angeles neighborhood in Brazil starts drainage and asphalt works

The municipal government of Cuiabá authorized a R$ 16.1 million infrastructure program to install drainage and pave eight streets in the Jardim Los Angeles neighborhood. The order of service, signed on 23 July, will see works on Francisco Espinosa, Antônio Prado, Dom Fernandes Sardinha, Coronel Moreira Cezar, Izolino Alves Pereira and Lauro Muller, among others. The mayor, Adriane Lopes, said the project will improve traffic safety, reduce dust and mud, and increase property values, calling it a “historic moment” for residents. The first phase, funded with over R$ 10 million, is slated for nine months, with the overall delivery expected within 180 days. Local leaders praised the initiative, noting it addresses long‑standing mobility and sanitation challenges in the area.
