Goiânia implements 123,000 seedlings through Comurg landscaping project

The Companhia de Urbanização de Goiânia (Comurg) has implemented over 123,000 ornamental flower seedlings across more than 35 locations in Goiânia as part of the ‘Projeto Florescer’. This landscaping initiative aims to enhance the city's urban landscape and reinforce its identity as a ‘garden city’ and the ‘Green Capital of Brazil’.

Key areas receiving new plantings include Praça Eurico Viana in Setor Oeste, Praça Wilson Sales in Setor Nova Suíça, and Avenida Vera Cruz in Jardim Guanabara. The project also covers various squares, avenues, and roundabouts, such as the T-9 roundabout and sections of Avenida Anhanguera.

Beyond the initial planting, Comurg’s work involves soil preparation, organic fertilization, weeding, and ongoing maintenance including irrigation and pruning. The project intends to expand to 300 locations by 2027.
