Goiânia implements traffic and transit improvements

The city of Goiânia has implemented several infrastructure changes aimed at improving urban mobility and traffic flow. The BRT Leste-Oeste transit system now features traffic light priority along its route. This adjustment allows semaphores to favor the passage of collective transport vehicles, with the goal of reducing travel times and increasing efficiency for thousands of daily passengers.

Additionally, construction has begun in the Northwest region to remove the roundabout located in front of the Hospital Estadual de Urgências Governador Otávio Lage de Siqueira (Hugol). The project, expected to take up to 45 days, involves replacing the roundabout with new access points, signalized intersections, and a binary system. This intervention aims to alleviate a major traffic bottleneck on the GO-070, where approximately 24,000 vehicles pass daily.
