Goiânia International Autodrome reopens for cycling and running

The Goiânia International Autodrome Ayrton Senna has reopened for cycling and street running following a complete replacement of the track's asphalt. The renovation, managed by the Government of Goiás through the State Secretariat of Sport and Leisure (Seel), involved removing the old pavement and applying new material.

To accommodate different activities, the track follows a specific schedule from 5:00 AM to 8:30 AM. Cyclists are permitted to train on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while runners have access on Mondays and Wednesdays. More than 200 athletes have already utilized the renovated space this week.

Motor racing activities, including cars and motorcycles, are not expected to resume until the end of November. This delay is necessary to allow the new asphalt to cure, a process estimated to take between 45 and 60 days. Looking ahead, the circuit is preparing for the return of MotoGP, which has confirmed a stage in Goiás for April 2 to 4, 2027.
