Goiânia Museums Offer Free Exhibitions Throughout July

The municipal museums of Goiânia – the Museu de Arte de Goiânia (MAG) and the Museu Frei Confaloni – are providing free exhibitions for the public during the July school holidays. At MAG, the collective show “Pachamama” runs until 9 August, featuring twelve artists from the Ateliê Livre de Gravura and works in woodcut, metal engraving, monotype and colagraph that explore nature, memory and territory. The same venue also hosts Anna Rita Araújo’s solo exhibition “What Remains and What Dreams” until 31 August, presenting acrylic paintings, watercolors and ceramics that address memory, identity and displacement. At the historic railway station, the Museu Frei Confaloni presents Sandri D’Poá’s “From Originality to the Sensory” from 20 July to 7 August, using resin and organic materials to explore form and texture. Both museums are open daily with free admission. Museum director Antônio Da Mata emphasized the community focus, saying, “They are public places, the museums are for the community. So enjoy, come.”
