Goiás launches inaugural Rota Gastronômica culinary circuit across four cities

The first edition of the Circuito Rota Gastronômica will run in August 2024 in the Brazilian state of Goiás. Free gastronomic arenas are scheduled in Rio Verde (6‑9 Aug, Parque Espelho D’Água), Cavalcante (13‑16 Aug, Praça Central), Alto Paraíso (20‑23 Aug, Praça do Bambu) and Trindade (28‑30 Aug, Carreiródromo), each featuring more than 20 local exhibitors, chef‑led “aulas‑show” and musical performances.

Chefs such as Paula Labaki, Emiliana Azambuja, Jimmy Ogro, Lucas Corazza and Marco Tulio Abras are confirmed. Attendees can register for the shows by donating one kilogram of food, which is redirected to local charities. After the arena days, the circuit continues for 21 days in participating restaurants, offering promotional dishes.

The event is organized by Sindtur Goiás and Senac‑GO, supported by the Programa Goyazes of the Goiás State Government, and sponsored by Piracanjuba. Partners include Fecomércio, Sesc, AGS, Sebrae and Imperador Alimentos. Future editions aim to expand to ten municipalities, adding Pirenópolis, Goiás and Anápolis.
