Brazilian regional culinary tourism circuits

In late July 2026, two Brazilian jurisdictions announced the launch of inaugural gastronomic circuits aimed at boosting local tourism and showcasing regional food cultures.

Guabiruba, a small city in southern Brazil, will host the week‑long "Guabiruba Sabores" circuit in August, featuring nine establishments that blend the town’s German colonial heritage with Vale Europeu ingredients. The initiative is backed by the municipal tourism office and Sebrae/SC and seeks to strengthen cultural identity, attract visitors, and support entrepreneurs.

Separately, the state of Goiás unveiled the first edition of its "Circuito Rota Gastronômica," a multi‑city program spanning four municipalities in August. The circuit offers free public arenas with chef‑led demonstrations, music, and food‑donation drives that support local charities. Organized by local tourism and education bodies and sponsored by regional businesses, it plans to expand to ten municipalities in future editions.

Both announcements reflect a broader push across Brazil to use curated food experiences as a catalyst for regional tourism, economic development, and cultural promotion.
