Goiás showcases culture with Rio Verde's Rota Gastronômica and Goiânia's Contemporary Art Salon
The Government of Goiás and the Rio Verde municipality launched the first stage of the Rota Gastronômica, a four‑day food circuit running from August 6 to 9 at Parque Espelho D’Água. The free program features local chefs, producers, culinary workshops, cultural performances and musical shows, aiming to promote regional cuisine, boost tourism and generate economic activity for restaurants and food‑related businesses.
In Goiânia, the 2nd National Contemporary Art Salon opened at the UFG Cultural Center on August 6, presenting works by 30 selected visual artists from across Brazil. Curated by Paulo Henrique Silva and supported by Equatorial Goiás, the exhibition runs until September 25 and includes prize awards, educational mediation and free public access, highlighting contemporary artistic production and fostering cultural exchange.
Both events are part of Goiás' broader strategy to strengthen its cultural profile, attract visitors and stimulate local economies.
