Gold demand remains strong amid central bank purchases
Central bank demand and investment diversification continue to support the global gold market. According to the World Gold Council, average annual central bank purchases over the last four years have reached approximately 1,000 tonnes, doubling the average from the previous decade. In the second quarter of 2026, a net addition of 289 tonnes was recorded.
GoldMining Inc. reports a diversified portfolio of gold and gold-copper projects across the Americas. As of June 2026, the company's global resource base includes 13.1 million ounces of measured and indicated gold equivalent, plus an additional 9.0 million ounces of inferred resources. The company maintains approximately $185 million in cash and marketable securities with no debt. GoldMining holds a 74% interest in U.S. GoldMining, owner of the Whistler project in Alaska. Its La Mina project in Colombia is currently its most advanced economic asset; an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) models a post-tax NPV5 of $1.0 billion at a gold price of $3,500 per ounce.
