Gold exploration advances for Meeka Metals and Odyssey Gold in Australia
Australian gold exploration companies Meeka Metals and Odyssey Gold have reported significant drilling results from their respective projects in Western Australia.
Meeka Metals identified visible gold 300 meters below its Turnberry underground resource in the Murchison region. Diamond drilling intersected a broad shear zone containing chalcopyrite, pyrite, albite, and magnetite. While laboratory assays are pending for September, previous results from July included intercepts such as 52.3 meters at 3.0 g/t gold. The company has mobilized a second diamond drill rig to accelerate its understanding of the gold system at Turnberry.
Odyssey Gold reported strengthened mineralization continuity and resource confidence at its Tuckanarra project through drilling at the Anchor, Maybelle, and Lucknow deposits. Notable results from the Anchor deposit included 2 meters at 29.1 g/t gold, with a 1-meter interval at 57.2 g/t. The drilling also identified deeper gold potential beneath historic workings. These results will inform updated Mineral Resource Estimates and ongoing mining studies.
