Gold exploration companies report high-grade results in Western Australia
Gold exploration companies in Western Australia have reported significant high-grade drilling results at projects located near Leonora.
Augustus Minerals announced its highest grade to date at the Clifton East prospect within the Music Well Gold Project. A June reverse circulation drilling program returned 19.5 grams per tonne gold from a 1-meter interval. The company identified gold mineralisation across a 400-meter section of a 1.2-kilometer-long soil anomaly and plans to conduct further drilling to test the potential for higher-grade veins.
Separately, GoldArc Resources reported its strongest-ever intercept at the Mt Stirling Well deposit, part of the Leonora North gold project. Grade control drilling yielded 2 meters at 69.7 grams per tonne gold, including a 1-meter interval at 137 grams per tonne. This marks the fifth consecutive batch of high-grade results for the company. The data is currently being integrated into mining models as the company progresses toward potential open-pit mining. The drilling program is being funded through a partnership with BML Ventures.
