At the Duketon gold project near Laverton, Great Southern Mining has reported high-grade intercepts at the Golden Boulder discovery. A 14,000m reverse circulation drilling program identified mineralization extending up to 45m down-dip, including a 10-metre interval containing 2m at 10.72g/t gold. Managing director Matthew Keane stated the area has potential for a “larger gold system capable of supporting multiple open-pit operations” due to its proximity to existing processing facilities.
