Gold exploration advances in Western Australia

Gold exploration in Western Australia continues to yield significant mineralization results across several regions. In the Goldfields, Cosmo Metals confirmed the continuity of mineralization along the Fitzroy Shear at its Laguna Verde site, with a government co-funded hole returning 14m at 0.48 g/t gold. Concurrently, Ore Resources identified the Miriam shear zone as a “fertile gold system” through aircore drilling, reporting intercepts such as 8.0m at 1.90 g/t gold, while drilling at Burbanks East yielded 4.0m at 4.29 g/t gold. Ore Resources intends to continue drilling into late 2026.

In the Leonora area, Augustus Minerals reported its highest grade to date at the Clifton East prospect, with drilling returning 19.5 grams per tonne gold from a 1-meter interval. GoldArc Resources reported its strongest-ever intercept at the Mt Stirling Well deposit, yielding 2 meters at 69.7 grams per tonne gold, including a 1-meter interval at 137 grams per tonne. This marks the company’s fifth consecutive batch of high-grade results, which are being integrated into mining models for potential open-pit mining.

In the Southern Cross Greenstone Belt, Golden Horse Minerals reported significant intersections at the Hopes Hill deposit, where diamond drilling returned 16.6m at 3.4g/t gold, including a 5m segment at 9.9g/t gold. This suggests an emerging high-grade zone beneath the historic Hopes Hill pit. Additionally, Kalgoorlie Gold Mining completed a 3,194-metre reverse circulation drilling program at the Lighthorse prospect, reporting encouraging geological observations of alteration and sulphide mineralization while awaiting assay results.
