Goldenergy launches EV charging solution in Portugal as GAC partners on Brazil fast‑charger rollout

Portuguese green‑energy retailer Goldenergy announced a new electric‑vehicle mobility offering that combines subsidised home charging with an integrated wallbox and a nationwide mobility card. Customers receive a night‑time discount of over 24%, allowing a charge of 100 km for about €1.33, and free installation of home chargers with automatic load‑balancing and solar integration. Miguel Checa, Goldenergy’s General Manager, said the electric car "has ceased to be just a means of transport; it is today an integral part of domestic energy consumption."

In Brazil, Chinese automaker GAC, infrastructure company GreenV and mobility platform 99 signed a partnership to install 242 fast‑charging stations (60‑120 kW) by 2030. The chargers will be placed at GAC dealerships and hubs in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasília. GAC will supply the equipment, GreenV will finance and operate the technology platform, and 99 will provide preferential rates to its drivers. Brazil currently has about 21,000 public chargers for roughly 722,000 electric vehicles, averaging 34 vehicles per charger, and aims for a network of around 180,000 chargers by 2030.
