Goldman Sachs brings $105B treasury fund to Avalanche via Lynq
Goldman Sachs is making its Financial Square Treasury Instruments Fund (FTIXX) available through Lynq, a permissioned Avalanche Layer 1 network. The fund, which held approximately $105 billion in net assets as of late August, primarily invests in short-term U.S. public debt to preserve capital and maintain liquidity.
The integration allows eligible U.S. participants to access the fund via the regulated broker-dealer tZERO. This move aims to modernize the distribution and management of cash flows by utilizing blockchain infrastructure for settlement and trading without tokenizing the fund shares themselves.
By using the Lynq network, which is utilized by over 30 institutional digital-asset firms including Galaxy and Fireblocks, institutional traders can deploy idle cash into the Treasury fund between trades. This provides a way to generate yield while remaining within the digital-asset trading and settlement infrastructure they already employ.
