Goncalo Feio reflects on Legia Warsaw, names Sebastian Szymański best

Portuguese coach Goncalo Feio led Legia Warsaw from April 2024 to June 2025, finishing fifth in the Ekstraklasa, winning the Polish Cup and reaching the quarter‑finals of the UEFA Conference League, including a historic victory over Chelsea in England.

In a recent interview he stressed his leadership principle of "treat people properly," emphasizing high standards, communication and personal support for players. He highlighted two memorable moments at the club and, when asked about the best Polish player he coached, singled out midfielder Sebastian Szymański, praising his quality and continual improvement mindset. Feio is currently without a coaching position after parting ways with Tondela in June.
