Gonias Monastery to host religious services for Dormition of the Theotokos

The Holy Patriarchal and Crucifixion Monastery of Odighitria Gonias in Kolymbari will observe the feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos with a series of religious services from August 14 to August 16.

On Friday, August 14, services include Orthros following Divine Liturgy in the morning, a Great Panegyric Vespers in the evening led by Metropolitan Joseph of Proikonnisos on behalf of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, followed by a Holy Paraklesis and a Holy Vigil led by Metropolitan Amfilochios of Kissamos and Selinos.

Saturday, August 15, features Orthros and a Panegyric Divine Liturgy led by Metropolitan Joseph of Proikonnisos, followed by a Post-Festal Panegyric Vespers and a founder's memorial service. The celebrations conclude on Sunday, August 16, with Orthros and a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy led by Metropolitan Amfilochios of Kissamos and Selinos.
