Gonzalo Castillo team meets in New York to organize PLD primaries

The coordinating team for Gonzalo Castillo held its first meeting in New York to organize the internal primary for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD). The consultation is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, to select the party's presidential candidate for the 2028 elections in the Dominican Republic.

Francisco Fernández, a member of the PLD Central Committee and territorial coordinator, stated that the team is working to ensure a favorable outcome for Castillo in New York. Fernández highlighted Castillo's background, noting his previous leadership at the Ministry of Public Works, where he oversaw the creation of the National Emergency Attention System (911) and road safety structures.
