New FCC filings suggest Google is developing a new wearable device, potentially a fitness tracker powered by Wear OS. The device, identified by the code G8BL6, was manufactured by Goertek, a partner previously responsible for producing Pixel Buds and the Fitbit Air.

Technical details from the regulatory documents indicate the presence of a display, as users must navigate through system settings to access regulatory information—a process identical to that used on the Pixel Watch. While the device lacks Wi-Fi, it supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) for GPS tracking.

Speculation suggests this hardware could be a successor to the Fitbit Charge line or a new Google-branded fitness band. The appearance of a similar device in recent Pixel marketing materials further supports the possibility of a new compact wearable entering the Google ecosystem.
